Wang Dacheng's Award-Winning Design Blends Architecture and Nature

Located at the foot of Wuyun Mountain, Fangding village is the largest and most complete architectural complex from the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Zhengzhou. The village, renowned for its high-class Fengshui, has nurtured architectural wonders and cultural heritage for hundreds of years. This unique cultural and architectural legacy served as the inspiration for Wang Dacheng's design.

The project, built along Wuyun Mountain, overlooks Sandu Lake, providing a rare natural landscape. The design team, Mind Design, created a secluded residence where classical and modern elements coexist harmoniously. The building appears as an elegant and dynamic elf in the mist when the lights turn on, offering a serene retreat from the city's noise.

The design realization technology includes wooden lattice structures, glass curtain walls, colonnades, soft film ceilings, chandeliers, and raw stones. These elements come together to create a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The building covers an area of 707.73 square meters, with each area designed to offer unique views and experiences.

The reception lobby, enveloped by wooden lattice structures, offers a warm and exquisite ambiance. The landscape painting screen adds an oriental fascination to the space. The building model area features a length of silk floating freely over it, creating an eye-catching display. The inner courtyard, naturally surrounded by mountains, creates a harmonious and natural atmosphere.

The book bar area, located along the glass curtain wall and colonnade, offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The negotiation area, located on the right side of the building, faces three views and features a sunken open terrace next to the lake. Each space within the building offers a unique experience, allowing visitors to enjoy the depth and division of the space, as well as the inheritance and transition of Chinese culture.

In conclusion, Wang Dacheng's Zhengzhou Vanke Min’an Fangdingyi is a testament to the successful integration of tradition and modernity, nature and architecture. The project, which has been awarded the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021, showcases the designer's remarkable expertise and innovation.
